E-rock: Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair!
Oldog: KaBes, I went!
KaBes: Waves r in the knee high range NE wind chop, because it's been so flat for so long it almost looks fun, go surf , pics r up
Cruz: BREAKING NEWS: The iLBL is the #1 "App" in Kazakhstan.
Conan: Volcom Pipe Pro is on - 10-12' w/ offshore winds!!!
Oldog: Wow. OK guys, just remember, DON'T try this at home.
Oldog: Yuck. Untie her from the post, and may we please have March 2002 #12 instead?
Oldog: Oh yeah, I remember THAT one. Stomach troubles.
KaBes: Waves r in the rideable range. SE chop knee to thigh high should be fun and getting better as the tide drops out. Go surf. Pics r up!!!
Cruz: More crochet!
Oldog: Actually, E-Rock, it is. Granny crossed over to custom-fit bikini design a few years ago. I am so sick of holding the yarn while she knits around the models. At least it’s better than doing the same for those toilet tank covers.
E-rock: That ain't yer grandma's crochet.
Weathergirl: Yeah well buddy, you try talking to a camera for a few hours about the weather and see if you don’t consider having a little something to get you through the day.
KaBes: Blue SE locals are back (see pic). Waves are knee high from the E SE. as the tide drops it could be fun, worth the check
Pasta Eater: whoever is making up those iLBL quotes of the day is hysterical. PLEASE keep them coming
SOFLA: Weathergirl looks drunk in that still pic
Oldog: Adds a new dimension to the term backside maneuvers.
SOFLA: it's like surfing with Kabes, except X100
JB:: There was an article in Surfer a few months back about this session. They said the water was pretty dirty, that the locals dumped raw sewage there daily.
SOFLA: old vid, check out at :27, yeah buddy, i've seen alot of "beaches" too. and why is that water so frickin nasty?
Oldog: KaBes: Those ARE giant, and that tidal bore is pretty impressive too.
Oldog: Holy Crap. Jupiter Inlet is now in Boca? Littoral drift gone wild...
KaBes: Tuesday 1/24/12. Pics r up!
Cruz: I believe I redirected the old to the new and that shot is a Boca Cam facing South to Deerfield.
Lolling: Cruz is it me or is the ilbl page still redirects from old page to the new style page? Also where is the cam location for the image right under Jupiter inlet? I don't recall any piers north of jup
KaBes: waves are almost in the rideable range but tide is killing it, SE chop it's about shin high...maybe, but it is worth a look later.
KaBes: Holy Crap....that tidal bore is SICK!!!!!!!!!
SOFLA: I'll get right on it BG
BG on the Tire: Just came back to let you know the landing gear didn't collapse! (long creaking sound followed by crash)
Conan: LBL needs new HQ in CFL... weekend full of LBWaves.
Conan: That chops vid reminds me of my 1st session at Rush Reef. The surf was maybe 10' but I was 12yrs old, <100lbs, under 5'... youth perception.
Cruz: E-Rock - nice pickup on the repeat. Attention to Detail is a 10.
E-rock: Today's BGOTD's a fine repeat. Just wonderin why she's still hanging round airplane junkyards.
E-rock: ..well Round and Round was 3 days ago.
E-rock: I think RATT wrote a song about the BGOTD..
Beavis: Yeh, Yeh..Heheheheheheh
Butthead: Uhhh....he thsaid thssteaming pile..
Teahoop tube dude: I'll let you know...
KSP: KaBe's Steaming Pile: I am ALIVE!....
Mr. Poknotzi: Checkink fer pulse...
PacMan’s Sister: Bloop (<- alive)
Melongous: wow, a perfect circle
MC2011: Miss Cocolongous: Don’t worry JB, it’s still there, right below my shoulder blade. And, Cruz, I'm alive, if you know what I mean.
Shout!CrazeeDiana: Yeah baby, I be livinnnnn... and I crazee. Yow!
Sybil: Please hold. I'm taking a head count.
MM2011: Miss Melongous 2011: You bet I’m alive. A little numb in some areas, but still alive.
E-rock: Yeah KaBes she's got dolla bills written all over her. Cha-ching!
Keebler Elf: and the bushes snipped
Dune Dumper: Got brown? I’m kinda pooped out, but still alive. Can I please have a new name?
KaBes: Got Green?
BGR: Bikini Girl on the Roof: I’m still barely alive. Can I please come down now?
Keebler Elf: feeling good, tree just got trimmed
SOFLA: The houses in Hollywood on a clean North swell. Meade st on a VAS chunky day.
SOFLA: Oh, OK, SOFLA<---alive, but needs beer to sustain levels
Bazoomba: Presents? I love presents!
Weathergirl: Present
Oldog: OK. I think I still meet that criteria. Just don’t ask me to kick.
Cruz: All really wanted to do was to see if everybody was still alive. Standard procedure.
Oldog: I think we should all post the exact location of our favorite surf spot, along with a description all it's excellent attributes, even if it's not well known. Definitely.
SOFLA: and what is the criteria Cruz? is it light crowds? breaks at any swell angle? is consistent large and small? and don't say all of the above, that would be irritating. like a rash on your taint after walking 2 miles back to your car during a major VAS event.
SOFLA: isn't that walton rocks area?
E-rock: Stuart's 4th traffic light
SOFLA: what the hell is "S4"
SOFLA: Any break north of Hollywood
Oldog: Lunch
KaBes: My favorite break.... anywhere I can drop in on Cruzzer!!!
KaBes: Thx for the back up Oldog!!! and those guys post 73 photos each morning, they are bound to get one good one right? CaCaw!!!
Cruz: I'll start. S4.
Cruz: I'd like to start a roll call. Please state your name and your favorite break.
Oldog: Yeah, but can they so elegantly capture the essence of a seagull with a barellete background? Can they? Caw!
JB:: Nothing against the Ansel Adams like talents of our own KB, but those guys up at surf station post some amazing sunrise picts. www.surf-station.com.
Cruz: Thanks Dog. I shared that info with my friend. Much appreciated.
Oldog: Cruz: Suggest calling Access medical labs in Jupiter. They just expanded into a new building in Abacoa and may be seeking service pusher types.
Cruz: I knew I was gonna get a comment like that.
SOFLA: yeah Cruz, i got a friend like that too, just that he's doing 5-10 in Ocala
Cruz: Shouting out for a friend of mine that is looking for a job as a drug or biomedical rep in South Florida.
KaBes: beautiful morning once again. the beach was awesome, except for the lack of waves. there is a micro line from the E SE, but it's sub-shin high. Pics to follow
Cruz: You can SHout from the iLBL.
KaBes: Nice job is right!!! I love the tide section, especially since South Florida is so tide specific. Great Job Cruzzer!!!
JB:: Awesome job on iLBL cruzzer! Even the home screen icon is killer!
Cruz: CHECK OUT the improved iLBL. It should be friendly to all smartphones. GOTO www.longboardlife.com/mobile
Oldog: I watched High Water by Dana Brown this past weekend (a rare event, sitting out by the firepit Cruz) and actually liked that he showed plenty of wipeouts (reality) too.
JB:: That fall in the sixth minute is pretty sickening. I think my color commentary went something like, "uh oh, oh no, no, nah, aww, oh my god...silence..."
SOFLA: HOLYSH**HOLYSH**HOLYSH**!! has to be the sickest chopes video yet, felt so sorry for those bastards
Oldog: Damn JB, I just did much worse than that watching it. That is some bone grinding. Makes 3 foot wind chop and plenty of oxygen look pretty appealing.
KaBes: Cruzzer please replace the Hawaii Sessions with JB's video...way too cool not to be up there!!!!
KaBes: WOW!!!! I'm weak, mentally and physically drained, sick to my stomach, excited, nervous, sweaty, my head hurts, my psyche is disturbed, scared, motivated, I wanted to hug someone and at the same time I wanted to choke and kill someone, i felt helpless and inspired, I feel moved, and somehow strangely different because of that video!!!! WOW
JB:: I got nauseous watching this. SFW. http://alekparker.tumblr.com/post/15777517434/scariest-s***-ever-caught-on-camera
Oldog: Focus!
KaBes: Sorry, I must have missed that board amongst all that dirty, skinny, tattooedness....just what I look for in a woman!!!
Oldog: Yeah Kabes, it's the thing in the background without tatoos.
KaBes: micro lines from the south, flat otherwise, pics r up, refresh
Oldog: No smores. We roasted a dog.
KaBes: there's a board in that picture?
SOFLA: Smores? were Smores involved?
SOFLA: no s***, didn't notice that.
Oldog: Hey SOFLA - what's your board doing on the bikini girl picture?
Oldog: Cool. Our daughters had a backyard campout Sat night and were out skating down the hill watching the sun set and the moon rise before we broke out the pizzas and lit the fire. That’s the good stuff.
KaBes: Today's pics r up...refresh.
KaBes: Thx Oldog. My son and I sat at the waters edge Sunday night and watched the moonrise....killer moment. Makin memories for next generation....that's what it's all about for me now. Todays pics to follow.
KaBes: Thx Oldog. My son and I sat at the waters edge Sunday night and watched the moonrise....killer moment. Makin memories for next generation....that's what it's all about for me now. Todays pics to follow.
Oldog: Hey KaBes. That has been an awesome moon in clear skies. Great shots.
SOFLA: BRIGHTLIGHTSBRIGHTLIGHTSBRIGHTLIGHTSBRIGHTLIGHTSBRIGHTLIGHTSBRIGHTLIGHTS
KaBes: pics from yesterday r the moonrise Sunday night and Monday Am
Cruz: Yes, incredible cinematography. It's as equally impressive as the skating.
E-rock: Ha, what's with the hurl around the 5:00 mark??
E-rock: Sweet vid Cruz. Not sure which is better the skating or some of the cinematography.
E-rock: Lots of fun midweek..miss surf already.
Cruz: Dec 2011 BGOD archive is up.
Conan: fun surf Thurs PM/Fri AM in CFL. More push expected on Sat setting up a clean waist+ weekend. Much more managable than CA&HI today.
Weathergirl: Screw you.
Oldog: Luv ya too!
Weathergirl: Why can't you just be quiet for another month?
Oldog: (and what on earth is Weathergirl doing?)
Oldog: (and, is that a two of a kind today?)
Oldog: Today’s BG reminds us that it’s a New Year, and we should consider new viewpoints. Sometimes we fall into the trap of seeing things as black or white, but the fact is there’s a lot to consider beneath that bipolar veneer. Thank you Bikini Girl, and Happy New Year to all.
Grammar Teech!: EVERYONE (not anyone!)

E-rock: Happy New Year LBL. Spread good cheer in your local lineup in 2012..
KaBes: Happy New Year everyone!!!!! And nice job on the biggie, way to start the year off right Cruzzer!!!!!!!
Cruz: Happy New Year's brothers and sisters!
Conan: 2011 also lost a lot of solid surfers: Sion, Monster, Sean, Yancy, and the wake of AI still hits. I'll be in the water on Sunday thinking of those that have left.
Conan: To help the frustrated I had the kids last night and was only able to look and not touch. CFL in 2011 may be the most consistant year in many, the only true "flat" spell (no LB) was 3 weeks in July. My commute is 3hrs/day and worth every second.
Gumby: Frustrated... Since South Florida may never get good waves again, apparently, I guess I should sell off the quiver and take it down to two or three boards. Unlike a lot of folks I cannot justify surfing chop in the winter. This wave drought sucks.
Conan: Chest+ & light winds Wed night in CFL.
Cruz: Condolences to Sean Collins family. I used to work as a spotter for Surfline way before the internet stuff. Great organization. Sean's Surfline was and still is an amazing resource. I would consider him sort of the Steve Jobs of surf forecasting. Thanks for all you did for us.
KaBes: P.S. I'll never forget that picture of us chocking each other before one of our dawn patrol shrimp creole sessions.
KaBes: Monster and I had a funny relationship,we respected each other, appreciated each other, constantly challenged each other, hated each other and loved each other all at the same time. my guess is that we were too much alike. True brothers of the ocean, the proof was in the bickering. RIP Monster
Lollong: Digging news on iPhone app. Surf was up today in cfl. Fun times.
Cruz: The LBL crew would like wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We have some cool things planned for the site, which includes expanding out to Longboard Skating and BIG news about a new iPhone App that we will be releasing this summer.
Cruz: Sweet Long! A new stick. Merry Christmas!
Lolling: Anyone think we will have waves on Monday. Got new stick to try out.
Conan: CFL - LBL this morning. Rib high & light winds till about 10ish.
E-rock: FOR SALE: NEVER USED RipCurl E-Bomb 3/2 fullsuit-XL. $150..come get it-SPBC.
Cruz: Injustice. Fight the fight dog.
Oldog again: Well, crap. Thanks very much to everyone who contributed to the effort, but I am totally bummed to learn that “Melongous” has not even made it into the top 10 of Merriam Webster’s Word of the Year list. The closest thing they’ve got is “doppelganger” (“someone who looks like someone else"). Strangely enough, I happen to have that problem. Well, there’s always next year. The world needs good dictionary pictures! http://www.merriam-webster.com/info/10words.htm
Oldog: I read the obit. Sounds like he was quite a guy, and young too. Condolences to all.
Conan: A paddle out is needed.
Conan: Wow... Yes he did Potts, in life and surf. Loved his rants, his fatherness, style, sharing, and even his handshakes. Will miss you Monster.
E-rock: Sad news. Didn't know him well but remember him giving me a vintage Surfer mag issue back in the Salsa days. Man was he stoked to give it up. RIP Monster.
Pottsie: Gil took off way too early..... Very sad news. http://www.glickfamilyfuneralhome.com/obits/obituary.php?id=137280&iid=20217
Cruz: It's all good. From what I remember of Monster is sometimes his monotone rants would drive you crazy, but by his smooth surf style you knew the dude had many many days surfing under his hat.
Oldog: Dang Cruz. I was just about to say something zany and thought provoking that would elicit a massive engaging and enlightening online-chat type discourse branching out into varied realms, but now I’ve gotta be all somber and generally quiet instead. Sorry about your bud.
JB:: Sad news. RIP Monster.
Cruz: Sad news about local surfer Gil C. I just heard he passed away recently. Prayers for his family. I guess he might be surfing the Gulf Stream now. One of his many dreams.
Echo: Hello!.....ello....ello.
Conan: 12/15 CLF winds backed off this eve making fun conditions-dp may be good
Oldog: I got nuthin
Cruz: Nov. Archives FINALLY up. Sorry SoFla.
Cruz: I love elves. Minus the pointy ears, I sometimes check "Pacific Islander Elf" on forms.
Keebler elf: Got cookies?
South Pole Elf: hey! hey! enough talking about us! it's enough that those north Elfs get all the publicity, now WERE the bad guys?!! HELL NO!
Oldog: So Kabes, did you have help from someone under 12 to get that?
